Please read before contacting me because it will answer most of your questions and if you need to know more send me a photo and give me an idea of how you would like your hair to look as this makes things much easier when answering your questions.
I am a qualified Hairdresser/Photographer looking for females interested in having professional hair extensions applied to their hair in exchange for their modeling. I am wanting to update my hairstyling and photographic portfolio with dramatic before and after photos of girls with short to medium length hair and transforming it to very long. The technique used for the application of the extensions is using a silicone lined non slip brass bead that will not damage your existing hair and is a great way to get through that annoying stage of growing your hair. The application process takes a minimum of six hours and depending on what your hair is like to start with will determine if your hair will need to be colour matched to the hair being applied. Different colour hair can also be applied to achieve highlight/lowlight effects or different coloured panels of hair like a darker sections underneath. Once the hair is colour is matched and the extensions are applied the hair is then cut into the desired style. The full service is normally approximately $800 plus for long hair extensions when I do it in the salon and a shoot is $1500. I am offering my services for free in exchange for modeling and photo's. If you want something that is not within the boundaries of what I require I am flexible but you may have to supply the extra hair which is cheap anyway.
Photo’s:
The photographs required will be “FHM Magazine Glamour - Beach Chik - Cover ups and nudes where appropriate”. While no experience is required you must be comfortable with your body and in front of the camera. The shoot will be a collaboration of creativity between myself and the model to achieve the desired look and great photos. I am very respectful of working within the peoples comfort zone and boundaries but please don’t apply if all you want is a free hairstyle. I am looking for either professional models who wish to work with me to produce great images for each other’s benefit. Or females who are not interested in modeling as a career but simply want some great photo’s for their own personal use. The photo’s will be shot in my house which is a 100 year old Queenslander that I have been meticulously restoring. Some parts of the house are very grungy (not restored yet) and others are extremely beautiful with lots of stained glass, polished timber and arches. It is full of photographic potential that I am very eager to use in a shoot. Weather permitting the Beach Chik photo’s will be shot on one of the surrounding private beaches at sunrise. If I am to do shots on the beach with the model at sunrise the model may be required to stay overnight if transport to the island does not start until after sunrise. My salon is located close by and the extensions will either be done there or at the house depending how I feel at the time.
Please be aware it is a very lengthy process when done right and you will need to allow at least 8 hours for application and time to do photos which I try to do the next day. The results are amazing and this is a great opportunity for anyone who has ever considered having extensions applied or a glamour shoot done. Both are very expensive and time consuming processes of which I have over 25 years of international experience in doing.

I live on a very small island off the coast of Qld, a short passenger ferry ride from Redland Bay. You will need to be able to get to Redland Bay where the ferry departs and I will pick you up from the terminal on the island.
