Photographer's Comments:
I have a PhD in Psychology but before then I obtained a degree in Art History and before that I spent two years taking and passing an Art Foundation course which included a substantial photographic element. I have always enjoyed making images, by camera or paint or pen or pencil and this remains true today. Sometimes the photographic images help me create in the other media. I now have the time to follow my interests and would like to employ models to help me in this. I suppose my artistic influences would be Gustav Klimt and Schiele, with their emphasis on the intimate and private life of women, private joys and private loneliness. My preferred lighting is shadowy, with chiaroscuro, occasionally picturing domestic activities in natural lighting. There would be no fake showers or baths, no meaningless frolicking in the countryside, no stereotypical or unrealistic activities so drearily familiar from the mass of images on the internet. I also hate slapped on face and eye makeup. I hope this brief description will interest some models.
